The Institute of Image-Guided Surgery (Institut Hospitalo-Universitaire) of Strasbourg is a unique medical and surgical center, with a special focus on abdominal diseases.

The IHU Strasbourg is a Scientific Cooperation Foundation, which has been awarded accreditation within the framework of the « Investments for the Future » Program:

  • a healthcare center offering personalized, safe and optimized care using the least invasive techniques
  • a research center, bringing together teams to design and develop the instruments and procedures of tomorrow
  • an international training center, where professionals and students are taught the latest minimally invasive procedures (surgery, endoscopy…)

Created in partnership with the University Hospitals of Strasbourg (HUS), the IHU Strasbourg’s Medical Imaging Facility (GIE) is part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care plan, in all areas of imaging (CT and MRI).

While historically, the Medical Imaging Facility (GIE) was designed to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for digestive tract pathologies, we now offer a wider range of care, encompassing different specialties such as Head and Neck (ENT) Imaging, Neuroradiology, Oncological Imaging and Musculo-Skeletal Imaging.
